He's a monster
Seriously, Fox is a total monster right now. Terrible 2's maybe? Sunday night after I got back from Women's Conference he had an unexplained fever, so his extreme mood swings the rest of the week were attributed to his mystery "illness". Now it's been over a week and I'm coming to terms with the fact that he is no longer sick, he's just a little stinker! For example (I mean, if someone is going to complain about their child, I feel like they should at least have a few examples to back it up), we were at the grocery store today. Brooke was at soccer, so we were waiting to pick her up, which means that, for once I wasn't even in a hurry. So I was letting him get in and out of the car cart, help me push the cart, pick random things out and throw them in the cart. He was having a good old time. Until the time was up. Then he lost it. "Time to check out, Fox, can we hand the giant thing of Cranberry juice to the checker?" WAAAAAGH. Come on, buddy, we've gotta give it to the nice man so we can pay for it... WAAAAGHGH. Freak out! I know, you're thinking that it was just because I had removed our normal boundaries during our shopping trip so he was just testing boundaries, blah, blah. But I say Hogwash to that. He's just crazy, I tell you. Yesterday, we had Robie's mom, grandma and aunt and uncle over for Mother's Day Dinner. Fox didn't really like the sundried tomato/goat cheese/chicken deliciousness that I had created, so I let him have chicken dinos. Lucky for Lauren I was even letting her have some (see, at least on Mother's Day I'm a nice mom). Anyway, I warm up 9 dinos on one plate. Fox saw the plate and absolutely would not allow Lauren to have ANY of the chicken pieces. I tried to just take some off the big plate and put them on little plates and he screamed bloody mirror, "NOOOOOO, NO, NOOO (practicing his firm "no" on the middle one and his ear-splitting one at the end). I didn't even really understand what was going on until I put all the nuggets back on their microwaveable plate at which point he immediately stopped the hysterics and was completely silent. Psycho! Even after they were on the table, Lauren kept trying to steal one off his plate thinking he wouldn't notice but even when he didn't see her take it, as soon as he saw her eating it he completely lost it again. Can you say, "bedtime?" I'm really hoping he is just going through a growing phase (he has been asking to go for naptime or for sleep earlier and more often than usual), cause otherwise it is going to be ugly over here for a while! still love you, buddy :)

Oh Michelle, I am sooo sorry. That totally sounds like the beginning of Camille's psycho fits and bullying, more fits,no's all day, screaming, and did I mention fits. If you find any good tricks pass them my way. I have resigned myself to the fact that I know nothing about parenting my lovely 2 1/2 year old Camille :) I do love her, really I do. :)
That is the worst. I am always hoping my kids behavior is because they are sick. I'm sure this phase will pass quickly and you will have cute happy fox back in no time
ummm, I am not sure what you are talking about. Maybe you are imagining all this, because as far as I can see, Fox Tyler is an angel. You can send him to my house anytime... :))
