With summer winding down Brooke and I really wanted to go down to the zoo one more time. Lauren and Ashley weren'exactly hip on the idea, mostly because they are are still loving the idea of just hanging out at home. I believe Ashley said something like, "come on guys, mom's making us go to the stupid zoo again". For the record, we haven't even gone very much this summer!
But no one was complaining pretty quickly once we got there. The baby tiger was running around all cute (and there were these little baby mice inside the tiger exhibit that the kids liked almost as much).
Then the red panda, then as we were leaving they watched a cobra get fed a mouse and eat the whole thing - which was completely disgusting. Fox even liked the lizards because he thought they were dinosaurs - i can see the resemblance. It was pretty fun to see the kids stando n the same exhibits they have done for years. I remember when they didn't even use to be able to reach the taller little face mask things. You know my favorite thing - I love it when the kids read those little signs on the animals and then talk about whether they are endangered or not - it totally reminds me of when Jenn and I first moved to San Diego and would be talking to each other thinking we were so funny reading the things off to each other but phrasing it as if we just already knew all the information - yes, we are easily entertained :)

Were the mice in the tiger exhibit as food?
'thinking' we were funny--c'mon you know the truth, that was--and still is--funny, glad your kids are picking up the best habits! Did you know the flamingo gets its color from.....
