Inquisitive

Fox is so inquisitive right now.  Literally everything inspires a question.  For example, today on the way in to church he was asking about the drains leading from the side of the building for water drainage, "What's that for?" with follow up questions to how it would work.  The last couple of nights he has asked the same question right when I lay him down to sleep.  "But, mom, what if I have a question for you after I go to bed?"  I told him he would have plenty of time to ask me all his questions tomorrow - it's our Monday fun day! (he doesn't go to school on Mondays, but we don't necessarily always have fun :)  Yesterday he asked  "how do you know all these things?"  Ah, a child that still appreciates what little intelligence I have left.  His sweet older sister, Brooke is leaning more towards the "you don't know anything and are useless to me" phase.  UGH!  I tried really hard not to say anything when she later in the same night brought me her homework for some help - I did throw in a "wow, you asked the dumbest person in the house for help on your homework?  I'm honored"  But that's acceptable, right?

It actually kind of cooled off here this week. In fact, I wore longsleeves or a sweatshirt almost every day.. BRR.  Fox wasn't digging the sweatshirt idea at the beginning of the week, but I wouldn't let him go out without any sort of warmth so I told him he had to get something warmer on and he came down wearing this.  That's right, he wore a ducky hooded towel for the rest of the afternoon.  He even came home with it and didn't leave it at his friends house, which is a major accomplishment.  I think it sort of worked like a sweatshirt.. of course, he had shorts and a short sleeved shirt to go with it, but still, at least he had shoes on this time!
