Sunday morning we went up to Ramona for Robie's cousin's mission farewell and a baby blessing. Since we had to be up there by 9 we had to be ready pretty early, so Ashley took her toast with her in the car. Here's what she said to me, "Mom, I'm done with my toast". i responded, "make sure there isn't any peanut butter on there and then just set it under the seat" (i know, stay classy, san diego). Anyway, as the girls get out of the car at the church I look in and see this:
I thought she meant she had finished the toast, and I just wanted her to use a wipe and make sure the plate didn't make a huge mess all over. Instead she licked all the rest of the peanut butter off the toast that she didn't feel like finishing.
and look - after church I got a picture of her and she is even smiling (she's been a little grumpy lately)

At least you found it on Sunday. That could have gotten really ugly.
Happy Ashley is priceless.
Not that I'd know anything about rancid ugly in the car...
Love that she is so obedient. Since there was some ambiguity, it's good that she followed instructions as she understood them, right?! :)
It's funny how literal answers can be. "Done" is the king of ambiguity! I love Ashley!
I think grumpiness is in the air. Glad you caught a smile.
