Team Support

So I took Brooke and Ashley to the BYU-SDSU game last night. Originally this game was billed in our house as the Robie-Michelle showdown (he went to SDSU, I went to BYU) but then it was rescheduled after the fires changed its date and he was gone in the desert running a half marathon. I have to admit that going to a football game reminded me that I REALLY like watching live sports. Back in my old high school days, I followed the football and basketball teams to every single game (preseason, postseason, home and away games). Obviously some of that had to do with an interest in the players, but some of it was just that it is so exciting to be at a game and watch a game where people are trying their hardest to win (I still don't see that in the pro sports.. they're just playing for the money, but they are much better at what they do). There were actually two great touchdown catches right in front of us, which Brooke even remembered when we got home. Ashley was wearing the one BYU shirt in our entire household (hey, at least we had one). I'll admit I'm not the strongest BYU fan, I did need a quick refresher course at the game of the Cougar fight song. I can now recite almost half of it, which is about twice what I could do when we got there. It was a cold day in San Diego at our house, so I was bundled up, but it was actually the perfect temperature at the game... whew! We'll definitely have to go again.

BOOH FOR BYU!! I'm glad you were able to enjoy some time with the girls but did you happen to hear what lame Ausint Collie said? Something along the lines of 'if you are living right on and off the court, the Lord makes up for the rest." OH brother, give me a break. Anyway, GO UTES!!!!! :-)
