Why is it that if I have a bunch of things to carry up from downstairs I would rather struggle trying to carry them all up in one load than just make 2 or 3 quick trips? I guess that is my deep thought for the day (really deep, i know)

We picked up Brooke's glasses today. She went to a fun birthday party for James (I'm sure her "Deal or NO Deal" win is going down in her own Nickel City Hall of Fame) - Happy Birthday Buddy. But I digress, so after the party we went to pick them up and make sure they fit her face. They are bifocals so it was definitely hard for her to only use the bottom part for reading and only use the top part for distances. She was more excited for her reading and did seem to be able to follow the line a little easier - helpful in her presentation of part of our FHE lesson tonight - nice work Brooke.

I finally gave blood today. I have been getting papers in the mail and phone calls for a while and blood drive was so close I finally did it. I used to give blood every 8 weeks when I was at BY
U because they would set it up at the Wilkinson Center (oddly enough they had one going on in that same spot when we stopped by last time and it seriously freaked me out) and so it was really convenient and I had plenty of free time, right? Some skeptics might say I just did it because at the time the little things of Orange Juice and Oreos were pretty valuable commodities. I say that I am just a person full of selfless service. Of course today I got the lady who didn't know what she was doing so it took forever and it hurt a lot in the one arm until the vein collapsed and we had to switch to the other arm - lame! I'm going to try to focus on fond BYU memories so I will eventually give again. I loved how she bandaged them both up as if I had recently had part of my arm cut off...

Tell Brooke that Brynn used to wear glasses. She looks adorable. You are such a giving girl...the shirt off your back, the blood out of your arm!
Brooke looks so cute...so grown up! Good for you for donating blood...I will admit that when I see the Blood Bank on my caller ID I don't pick up...clearly I am not as selfless as you!
