My birthday was yesterday and honestly the part I found the most difficult was deciding waht I wanted to do. Where did I want to go to lunch? (figured that out - thanks guys!) What about dinner? What sounded like fun? I have realized I am totally unable to decide what I want to do anymore, without taking into account either whether my kids will be bored, how much it will cost, will everyone like that choice? it was sad - honestly I kind of just wanted to be left alone! But that seemed a little silly, what with having a twin and all; and, since she brought the cake it was a good thing we got together :) I did finally realize I just wanted my favorite sushi roll from Yummy Sushi, so we got one for each of the adults (I'm not even sure what the kids ate) and went to the zoo.
It was the perfect temperature down there, which considering how hot it has been lately, was actually nice reprieve. I think the funniest part was when Jenn told Josh (her almost 10 year old) that she would pay him $1 if he took any pictures that she liked upon later review - not that we were dying for pictures of ourselves, just that we both like pictures being taken but didn't want to have to be the ones taking them. He was an awesome photographer (too bad he was using her camera so I don't have any of them), and he even got my girls excited about the idea.
Oh yeah, and the zebras "fighting" as we whisked the kids quickly past. Ashley just HAD to stop to take some pictures - I mean, how often do you see the zebras fighting like that (she even tossed in a "me and my sister fight like that sometimes.. eek!)
On the way across on the skyride, which everyone declared the coolest thing ever in the dark, Lauren told Jenn that she had seen the Eiffel Towe. I wish we had taken them there, but alas, we have not, so I had to inform her that was not true. She continued to insist that she HAD BEEN THERE!!! Tonight we were watching a movie and they go to Las Vegas, and she says, "see, they're going to the Eiffel Tower". you know, the one at the Paris Hotel, or whatever that hotel is called. So I guess she was right, she has been to see an Eiffel Tower (replica).

Awesome bday with an awesome twin (and fam :-))--good times! I'll get those pics from Josh for you, they're a mix of quality (ultrazoom, anyone?) but some good ones definitely--just don't tell him that, I don't want to owe him too much cash. Thanks again for the awesome Star Wars cookie cutters!
Happy Birthday Ladies! I would love to see some of the Star Wars cookies when they are made!
The nighttime zoo looks delightful!
