Errand boy

I called Fox my "errand boy" today.  He was having a hard time with getting excited about going out of the house so I said, "come on, you can help me do my errands, you can be my errand boy."  Major mistake.  Apparently, he doesn't know the term "errand" so for the next 20 minutes all I heard about was some boy named "Aaron".  Fox kept asking when we were going to see Aaron? where he lived? who his mom was? whether his mom was nice? was his house close? were we going to drive far to get there? When we arrived at Rite Aid (a whole 5 minutes from our house) and then he was wondering if Aaron was going to be at the store? was Aaron picking something up, too?  The entire time, I was trying to try to explain what "errand" meant, that there was no other boy, it was not helping my case at all.  Finally, he just said, "I'm Fox, don't call me Aaron.  I no like it when you call me Aaron".  I assured him that I wouldn't call him Aaron ever again.

In other Fox news - why does he have to fight his nap so much?  Doesn't he look so peaceful?  I actually had to rub his head and "shhh" him for 20 minutes to finally get him to fall asleep yesterday - he was so tired he was rubbing his eyes and could seriously barely stay awake, but he just wouldn't give in.  doesn't he remember how good it feels to just relax and get that needed sleep?  It absolutely drives me crazy!

Ha, ha, ha, that is a hilarious story. And oh my goodness, that picture is precious. Yes, non sleeping children will drive ANY mother crazy. It is rather infuriating. Especially when you know they are just so tired.

I am cracking up! Now whenever I think of the word "errand" I will picture adorable Fox asking where "Aaron" is. :) Sweet boy!
