Lauren turned two today - I can not believe it. I started the day thinking that we would just do cake with Robie, me and the girls.. next thing you know, we had a regular party on our hands, I guess I just couldn't help myself. This cake was supposed to be a darling Dora cake. It looked pretty cute, until I turned around and Lauren decided to rearrange the decorations on the top. She added Swiper and an additional Dora, moved some other figures and ate some frosting! Oh well, I tried - she also poked a bunch of holes in the cake before I frosted it. Apparently, I need to keep my eyes on her at all times, go figure. My favorite part of the day was how excited she was abou
t her birthday. She just kept saying, "my birthday" and then singing "happy birthday to me" and getting this huge grin on her face. Of course, every time i pulled the videocamera out she was not going to sing that stinking song; so I guess I just have to remember how cute it was. With a lot of people over, and not letting the kids go outside yet, the house did seem very, very small - I'm calling about a sunroom tomorrow!

What a doll! Her smile is so adorable. She is so grown up! The party at your house was so much fun, we didn't want to leave. Oh yeah, we didn't leave for a long time. :) Your house is a great party house. (We've got to keep each other up with the positive talk, right?!)
I can tell that girl has a bit of a decorating bug. She knows what she wants and I am sure that she was completely happy with her end product!
Oh my heck! Could I be a more horrible aunt??? All of this traveling for work has got me all messed up. I'm a jerk. Tell Lauren her gift is in the mail! How about we just celebrate everybodys birthdays in the family I have forgotten this year, sheesh! NO excuses, that is ridiculous. Sorry! It looks like you guys had a great time. I CANNOT believe how big they are all getting.
