That's right, HSM3 (High School Musical 3) is out in theaters and since the girls get out early on Fridays we decided to join some friends at an afternoon showing. Here's a thought about going to the movies with kids - it is expensive, even for a matinee! In my brain I am still 18 and a matinee is like $4.50 - not so, my friends (sorry for channeling john mccain there). Of course, I should follow that introduction with some sort of disclaimer of how it was worth every penny. Notice I said I SHOULD follow with the disclaimer, not that I am actually using said disclaimer for this purpose - you interpret that however you want. The kids definitely loved it, even Lauren sat through the whole thing, and Brooke asked on on the way out when it was going to be out on DVD. The movie had some cute song & dance routines, but I couldn't help but notice there was a lot of hugging/almost kissing scenes, maybe I was just a little sensitive to it with a mixed gender group of kids all under the age of 10 who were staring fixated at the screen, or was it because zac efron now looks 21 (he is) and is more in the "hey, he's actually sort of cute" category - did I just say that? IT's HERE!

I've never seen HSM 2. Sad, I know.
I had golden spoon for dinner.
I think Sarah Palin should do an episode of 30 Rock posing as Tina Fey.
HSM is rated G right? I hate when they throw in the PG kissing stuff. Uncomfortable!
I sat through BH Chihuahua last week. I was hoping for a nap but the theater didn't have head rests.
How could we have missed opening day??? I'm crushed (that can also be read as relieved). Ha! How was the chili cook-off?
Looks like a party! Maybe I can talk my kids into going next time around, I am sure you'll be seeing it again!
You are such an awesome Mom!
You're a great mom to plan such a fun Friday afternoon! I'm off the hook because no one in my house wants to see it.
wow! i've seen the other two on disney channel. can't wait for them to make a three disc set, hurray!
We also made it to the opening day and I have to admit..I LOVED IT!!
I did cry at some parts, but I wanted to get up and dance at others. Good mixture for a movie.
Looks like you had fun!
Loved it!! Except, why does my kid look like a demon child with no color in his eyeballs?
Thanks for the heads up on the kissing scenes. I have been debating on whether to take the girls or not, now I know the answer.
It just occurred to me that I have been refering to Lauren as Laura, I am sooo sorry I don't know how I managed to do that.
