Quality Control

Robie's been gone for a week. Rough life going to VIP events at the Hawaii Ironman. (shout out to our friend, Damon who not only did the race again, he did it 36 minutes faster than last year - ridiculous!) The week went fine, but the quality control has definitely gone downhill. I've given in on dinners - last night was cereal, tonight was cereal and eggs. They ate well the rest of the week - that's got to count for something :)

The girls were gone on Friday night for the "Trick or Treating" at Disneyland. I'm hoping I'll get some pictures, but I better not hold my breath on that one. They said it was a lot of fun, but it went from 7:30-10:30p so by the time they got to sleep it was VERY late.. let's just say they slept in this morning (a day later) until 10:00! (not that I'm complaining, of course), but I don't think that's going to work on a school day. I had just taken Lauren to Sea World on Thursday morning (for the "do something fun with Lauren every week" goal) (see Laura's blog for a cute pic of the girls), so between two theme parks in two days, she was totally wiped out!

Between going out for a GREAT night of fun with some friends (happy bday Brandy) and then I had to relax after a fun night out, so it was a really rough time for me (insert hilarious laughter here). I definitely felt very lucky - until the detox for the kids had to start anyway :)
Time to bring the quality control back up around here - the bathrooms, laundry and dinner are on my list for tomorrow.

I'm sure the cereal is vitamin fortified, right? Glad you got some down time. You deserve it after all that single parenting.

It's times like these that a genie in a bottle might be a nice thing, or maybe chef/maid in a bottle...hmmmmm, this could make me rich...if I could just work out the details!!

If cereal is acceptable for breakfast, than I say it's acceptable for dinner!
