SCARY

If you have been to Disneyland lately, you know that there are actually a lot of rides there that are pretty scary. Lauren realized after the first dark ride that if she just asked me to cover her eyes (by saying, "scary, eyes") then it wasn't really that scary anymore. I think she might be a little sketchy on the scary issue, however. As we were driving home from church yesterday Robie put some Mormon Tabernacle Choir music on (that's right, he's got it on his ipod due to his tremendous spiritualness) anyway, Lauren chimes in from the back, "mom, scary, this song scary". It was sort of a dark slow beginning to the song and it is the Motab - maybe she does really understand the concept?
Lauren is also oddly obsessed with the Holy Ghost right now. After James' baptism last week she was disappointed to leave before seeing it come, so we have been working on the concept that you can't actually SEE the Holy Ghost. I swear we have heard the term, "Holy Ghost" more than ever before and everytime she freaks out. The most recent was when she must have been listening in Sacrament Meeting and all of a sudden she is pretty much yelling, "Holy Ghost coming", "Holy Ghost coming", and looking around frantically - so as I tune into the speaker I realized he was talking about the Holy Ghost. I was trying to quiet her by reminding her how the Holy Ghost is just something we feel but she was still just looking around expectantly. At least she isn't talking about that being scary!

Laugh out loud funny! Reminds me of when Evan was little. We went to the fair. He told everyone that he saw "the sheep, the cows, and the holy goats."

Do you know that I've written a book on the Holy Ghost? A kid's book, and its printed...I'll send you one. Let me know how she likes it.

Sweet - I'll keep an eye out for that book! I did try to talk to her today about how it is like a blanket, but she is kind of obsessed with her blankie right now, so then she was all confused . . .
